The West Virginia Lottery continues to expand its offerings in 2026, giving you more choices for how and where to play. That’s right – the rumours are true.
This year, a standout new release is Millionaire for Life, a multi-state draw game that breaks away from traditional jackpots by offering a long-term payout structure.
It’s one of several draw games that make up the current Lottery lineup, alongside MEGA MILLIONS®, POWERBALL©, LOTTO AMERICA©, and Cash25. To explore every new draw game available both online and offline in the state, visit the official West Virginia Lottery website.
Millionaire for Life: West Virginia’s newest game
Launching in early 2026, Millionaire for Life offers a unique prize format – the chance to win $1,000,000 per year, for life. It features a familiar prize structure with two life-changing top prizes and seven set cash prize levels. With daily drawings and a lifetime annuity format, this game offers something different from the usual lump-sum games, adding variety to the weekly draw schedule. You won’t want to miss it.
It’s not yet confirmed if – or when – this game will become available to play online, but it’s confirmed that you’ll be able to play in person at a licensed retailer within West Virginia in early 2026.
Popular draw games continuing in 2026
In addition to Millionaire for Life, several established draw games continue to hold top spots among West Virginia players.
1. MEGA MILLIONS®
MEGA MILLIONS® now features a built-in multiplier included with every $5 play. The multiplier applies to non-jackpot prizes and can increase payouts up to $10 million. Drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday, and tickets are available in-store and online through iPLAY.
2. POWERBALL©
With three drawings per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday), POWERBALL© remains a major choice for those following large national jackpots. The Power Play feature has the potential to multiply non-jackpot prizes up to 10x. You can play POWERBALL© online or at Lottery retailers throughout the state.
3. LOTTO AMERICA©
LOTTO AMERICA© offers smaller jackpots but better odds compared to the bigger multi-state games. With an All Star Bonus feature and drawings held three times weekly, it provides a strong balance of frequency and prize potential. Available both in-store and online through iPLAY in West Virginia.
4. Cash25
Cash25 is exclusive to West Virginia and offers a $25,000 top prize. You pick six numbers from one to 25, and drawings are held four days a week — Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. While it’s a favorite for its simplicity and solid odds, Cash25 is not available through iPLAY and must be played in person.
Where and how to play
The West Virginia Lottery’s iPLAY platform lets you securely purchase tickets for select games, including POWERBALL©, MEGA MILLIONS®, LOTTO AMERICA©, Daily 3, and Daily 4. You can play from any location in the state with internet access.
Additionally, the official iPLAY platform takes it a step further, offering features like Auto-Renewal, which allows you to automatically enter future drawings without needing to log in each time.
Another feature, Jackpot Threshold Auto-Renewal, has been introduced during select campaigns. It allows you to set a jackpot threshold, and when that jackpot is reached, iPLAY automatically buys your ticket.
Cash25, Ca$h Pop, KENO, and KENO GO remain retail-only games for now.
